Sunday lunch at the Boomhuisie

After church today we took the boys for a haircut and then went clothes shopping for Jos who has outgrown just about all of his summer clothes. We then had a relaxing lunch at a quaint little restaurant around the corner from where we live, called "Die boomhuisie".

It is truly a magical place with all sorts of little nooks and crannies out in the garden. I had great fun with my camera taking one picture after the other.

For once even the kids cooperated and I managed to capture very special moments.

Reuben was initially jealous of me taking photos of the other kids as well and kept on turning his back to the camera or covering his face with his hands.

Later on he forgot about his "no pictures" policy and was posing and demanding to be photographed.

He was even dancing the "Hot Dog" Mickey Mouse Club House Style.

One of the highlights of any visit to Boomhuisie has to be feeding the fish. They have a large Koi pond with some of the largest Koi I have ever seen. Jos and Reuben have each "adopted" and named one of the Kois. Jos has called his Ronald while Reuben has named his Weirdy because of its large bulging eyes. Go figure!
